Just a thought

Give me a blank sheet of paper, and expect some doodles. Give me that same paper and some restraints, some parameters as to an outcome for a design, and you’ll get something awesome.

To me, design should be objective, not subjective. I strive to meet and exceed expectations within my work, and not to make it conform to some pre-conceived idea. It is hard to separate out one’s particular methods and approaches, but you are hired based on what you have done in the past and what you can do for them in the future.

Design doesn’t need to have a hidden agenda, it should just be seen for what it can be, a beautiful arrangement of type and image on a page. How much or how little is up to the designer, but it’s the overall composition that matters.

Design for design’s sake… that’s all.
